1. Special Skills

  • Able to provide midwifery care during pregnancy, normal delivery, post-normal delivery, normal babies and toddlers, according to the competency standards of vocational midwives;
  • Able to identify deviations/abnormalities in cases of pregnancy, delivery, post-delivery, newborns, babies and toddlers;
  • Able to demonstrate initial handling of maternal neonatal emergencies according to applicable quality standards;
  • Able to provide oral and injectable contraceptives according to applicable standard operating procedures and professional codes of ethics by considering local cultural aspects;
  • Able to demonstrate infection prevention, patient safety and basic life support efforts;
  • Able to record midwifery care according to the applicable medical record system;
  • Able to carry out promotions and IEC related to maternal, child and family planning health using media that has been designed by the institution.

2. Knowledge Mastery
