Learning Procedure

The implementation of Diploma III Midwifery Education refers to SN-Dikti. In the Teaching and Learning Process activities include learning planning, learning implementation, assessment of learning outcomes and learning supervision (monitoring and evaluation).

1. Learning Process Planning

In accordance with Permenristek DIKTI Number 44 of 2015 article 1, it states that the Curriculum is a set of plans and arrangements regarding the objectives, content and learning materials as well as the methods used as guidelines for organizing learning activities to achieve certain educational goals. In relation to this, the curriculum must be described in the Semester Learning Plan (RPS). RPS is a learning process plan that is prepared for each course or other term. RPS is determined and developed by lecturers independently or together in a group of expertise in a field of science and/or technology in a study program. RPS must be reviewed and adjusted periodically with the development of science and technology. Learning plans based on learning outcomes consist of:
  • One semester learning plan format
  • Has learning methods and forms
  • Assignment format

According to article 12 of SN Dikti 2015, the Semester Learning Plan (RPS) contains at least:
  • Name of study program, name and code of course, credits, name of lecturer
  • Graduate learning outcomes assigned to the course
  • Final abilities planned at each stage of learning to meet graduate learning outcomes
  • Study materials related to the abilities to be achieved
  • Learning methods
  • Time provided to achieve abilities at each stage of learning
  • Student learning experience manifested in the description of tasks that must be completed by students during one semester
  • Criteria, indicators and assessment weights
  • List of references used

2. Implementation of the Learning Process

The learning process can be carried out in class, laboratory, and clinic. In the implementation of learning there are various learning methods that can be used for Student Center Learning (SCL), including: (1) Small Group Discussion; (2) Role-Play & Simulation; (3) Case Study; (4] Discovery Learning (DL); (5) Self-Directed Learning (SDL); (6) Cooperative Learning (CL); (7) Collaborative Learning (CbL); (8) Contextual Instruction (Cl); (9) Project Based Learning (PjBL); and (10) Problem Based Learning and Inquiry (PBL). In addition to these methods, there are still many other learning methods, each educator/lecturer can develop their learning methods [Guidelines for learning technology for vocational higher education, Kemenristek Dikti, 2016)

The learning process in the laboratory can use demonstration, simulation and tutorial methods and others. The learning process in the clinic can be carried out using the Preceptorship and Mentorship model approach, with pre-post conference learning methods, bedside teaching, coaching and others.

In relation to the learning process, in its implementation, Human Resources, facilities and infrastructure that are in accordance with standards are required. SCL methods that can possibly be carried out in Diploma III Midwifery Education include: Small Group Discussion, Role-Play and Simulation, Case Study, Discovery Learning (DL), Text books, Self-Directed Learning (SDL), Project Based Learning (PjBL) and Problem Based Learning and Inquiry (PBL).
