This laboratory is designed to prepare midwifery students to master the essential basic skills in midwifery practice. This laboratory functions as a simulation room to develop students' technical and clinical competencies before they enter the field directly.
KDPK Laboratory facilitates various practicums including:
- Integrated infection prevention and control
- Fulfillment of basic human needs (personal hygiene, nutrition, fluids and electrolytes, elimination and oxygenation)
- Perioperative care
- General physical examination
- Body mechanics, posture, position, ambulation and mobilization
- Drug administration
- Basic life support
The IGD/KDPK laboratory not only supports students' clinical competence, but also contributes to better maternal and child health services in the community.
