A total of 65 first-year students took part in the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) as part of the Pre-PBL KKPK program, held on Tuesday and Wednesday, June 11–12, 2025. This activity served as an essential preparation before the students began their clinical practice at RSUD Karawang.
The OSCE Pre-PBL KKPK was designed to assess and enhance students' basic clinical skills, including patient communication, physical examination techniques, and the application of medical ethics and professionalism. Each participant undergoes structured and objective assessments through a series of simulation stations that reflect real clinical scenarios they are likely to encounter in the hospital setting.
The primary goal of this activity is to ensure that students are fully prepared before being placed in actual clinical environments. Moreover, the OSCE acts as an evaluative tool to measure how well students can translate theoretical knowledge into practical application.
Through this examination, students are expected to gain confidence and improve both their technical and interpersonal skills in preparation for their clinical placement at RSUD Karawang. This step marks an important milestone in shaping competent, ethical, and professional future healthcare providers.
